Common sense of single-phase YL series single-phase motor
The Y series motor has a large starting torque, a large starting current, a high power factor of the load, and a significant power saving effect.
1. Choose an external power supply wire with a suitable cross-sectional area, which can effectively ensure the normal start-up and operation of the motor, and can avoid wasting power due to the small cross-sectional area, causing the wire to heat up, or causing the motor to not work normally. Cross-section wires waste your money. The principle of choosing a matching package is:
1. The motor power is below 0.75 kilowatts, choose a copper wire with a cross-sectional area of 2 square millimeters, and the length does not exceed 20 meters;
2. The motor power is above 0.75 kilowatts and below 1.1 kilowatts. Choose a copper wire with a cross-sectional area of 2.5 square millimeters and a length of not more than 20 meters;
3. The motor power is more than 1.1 kilowatts and less than 3 kilowatts, and the copper wire with a cross-sectional area of 4 square millimeters is selected, and the length is not more than 20 meters;
4. The power of the motor is from 3 kW to 4 kW, and the copper wire with a cross-sectional area of 6 square mm is selected, and the length is not more than 10 meters;
If it is necessary to extend the length of the external wire, the cross-sectional area can be increased by 0.5 square millimeters for each additional 10 meters of length. If the external wire is aluminum, please multiply the corresponding cross-sectional area recommended by 1.6 by the above option.
When wiring, avoid phenomena such as tightness, looseness, and poor contact caused by the large cross-sectional area of the wire.
2. The no-load starting time of the motor should not exceed 2 seconds. If the motor does not reach the rated speed or there is abnormal noise within 2 seconds, the power must be quickly shut down for inspection.
3. The principle and structure of the single-phase asynchronous motor are very different from the three-phase asynchronous motor. In the case of requiring a large starting torque, the starting current is much larger than the three-phase asynchronous motor (the power and speed are the same). Therefore, it is particularly important to ensure that the single-phase asynchronous motor starts normally. Please note the following points:
1. The working place of the motor should be kept as close as possible to the main line to ensure that the power supply can provide sufficient capacity when the motor is started, so as not to cause a large voltage drop.
2. The cross-sectional area and length of the trunk line to the indoor branch line are selected in accordance with the "Principle 1 of the above".
3. When starting the motor, ensure that the towed machinery is in no-load state, and the starting time should not exceed 5 seconds.
